Ibadan – The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) on Wednesday said it would embark on an indefinite strike over the non- implementation of its 2009 agreement with the Federal Government.
Mr Alfred Jimoh, the National Vice President, West Zone, told news men in Ibadan that the main reason for the strike was to press home SSANU’s demand for the 65 years retirement age.
He said the national executive of the association at the end of its 40th quarterly meeting in Ado-Ekiti resolved to commence the strike.
“ SSANU was to embark on an indefinite strike on about two occasions; but due to the appeal made by the Federal Government, we decided to sheath our sword.
“ As at today, only the salary aspect of the agreement has been partially implemented.
“ The government, however, promised to implement all agreements, including the retirement age by the 29th of February.
“ Nothing has been done and it will interest you that today is 29th and no agreement has been signed by the government.
“ SSANU is not happy about this; we have shown enough understanding with government and it is really affecting our members negatively.
“ So any moment from 12 mid-night, we will give directives to our members to embark on strike,’’ he said. (NAN)

According to sources, the dastardly act was committed on Valentine's Day after the boy, identified as Qudus, returned from an errand on which his stepmother sent him.
Angry that the boy was late in coming from where she sent him to buy kerosene, the suspect reportedly descended on him with a macheted him. She reportedly cut him on the head and hand until he gave up the ghost.
After accomplishing her mission, Mrs. Alalade dragged the remains of the little boy to the backyard of the family’s building and hid the cutlass under the bed.
Her wicked deed was, however, blown open when the husband came back and could not see his son. Though she initially denied knowledge of the deceased’s whereabouts, a trail of his blood was followed to where his body was eventually discovered at the backyard.
It was then that bloodstains were noticed on the woman’s cloth, while the cutlass was found under the bed in the couple’s room.
The suspect has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigations and prosecution

PDP will reclaim Edo – Chieftain
Auchi (Edo) – The Vice Chairman of the Edo chapter of the PDP, Mr Johnson Abolagba, says the party is set to reclaim the state, having conducted a very successful governorship primary election.
Abolagba made the remark in Auchi.
The PDP Chieftain, who is also a former member of the House of Representatives, said the PDP would emerge victorious in the state’s governorship election scheduled for July 14.
He said the party’s governorship candidate, retired Maj.-Gen. Charles Airhiavbere, was a man whose antecedents would help in securing a landslide victory for the party.
“With Gen. Airiavbere, PDP will win the governorship election if we work hard and put our house in other.
“Edo remains a PDP state and there is nothing stopping us from winning it because all what Oshiomhole has succeeded in doing is cosmetic beautification of roads in the state,” he said.
Speaking on the primaries conducted in Benin, Abolagba called on the defeated aspirants to work with the party’s flagbearer to ensure victory for the party in the election.
He advised them to take solace in the fact that Airiavbere’s victory was not for himself alone, but for the party as a whole.
“We should all be happy and join hands with the victor because the primaries remain one of the best things to have happened to the party in recent times,” he said.

Pirates kidnap two in attack off Nigeria
KUALA LUMPUR (AFP) – Armed pirates opened fire on a cargo ship in an attack off the Nigerian coast, kidnapping the captain and chief engineer and robbing the crew before escaping, a maritime watchdog said Wednesday.
Tuesday’s attack also left one crew member missing and another injured, the International Maritime Bureau (IMB) said, and was the latest in a series of incidents indicating heightened piracy in the Gulf of Guinea.
The assault at about 1500 GMT Tuesday targeted a Dutch-owned, Curacao-flagged refrigerated cargo ship that was anchored near the coast, said Noel Choong, head of the IMB’s Kuala Lumpur-based piracy reporting centre.
A group of about eight pirates armed with guns carried out the attack on the ship, which had a crew of 14, he said, adding that Nigerian authorities had been alerted.
Choong said he had received no word yet on the fate of those reported missing or whether any ransom was being demanded.
“The attacks off the Nigerian coast are very violent and they are increasing,” Choong said.
“So far we have seen seven attacks off Nigeria this year and one off of Benin. So that makes eight since the beginning of the year and we believe many more attacks may have gone unreported.”
Two weeks ago, pirates fired on a cargo vessel off Nigeria, killing the ship’s captain, according to the IMB.
Choong said that vessel’s chief engineer died from a fall during the attack, correcting earlier reports that he also had been shot dead.
That ship was Panamanian-flagged but its owners were Taiwanese, he said.
The IMB has said other recent attacks in the area included a tanker that was hijacked south of Nigeria earlier in February. Nigerian vessels intercepted that ship and rescued its crew.
The IMB, which is funded by shipowners, warned in September that the seas off Benin, Nigeria’s neighbour, were emerging as a new piracy “hotspot” due to the weak enforcement capabilities of governments in the region.

Police arraign woman for pouring faeces on banker
AKURE – The Police in Akure, Tuesday, arraigned a 28-year-old woman, Folashade Babatunde before an Akure Senior Magistrate’s Court for allegedly pouring faeces on a female banker.
The accused, a trader and Higher National Diploma student at Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo in Ondo State was docked before Mrs Rabi Abdulahi on a two-count charge of act likely to cause breach of the peace and assault.
Babatunde was accused of pouring faeces on one Agnes Olasehinde, a 27-year-old banker with the First Bank Plc, Alagbaka branch, Akure.
The offence, according to the Police Prosecutor, ASP Ayodele Atandeyi, was allegedly committed on February 24, about 12.30 p.m. at the First Bank Plc, Alagbaka branch, Akure.
She was accused of conducting herself in a manner likely to cause breach of the peace by bringing into the banking hall a can containing faeces.
This, the police said constituted an offence contrary to and punishable under section 249 of the Criminal Code Cap 37 Vol. I laws of Ondo State 2006.
Babatunde was also accused of assaulting Olasehinde by pouring faeces on her body, contrary to and punishable under Section 351 of the Criminal Code Cap 37 Vol. I laws of Ondo State 2006.
The accused person who elected summary trial at the court pleaded not guilty to the two charges when they were read to her in English language.
But in her statement to the police, the accused, who gave her address as No. 47, Ekusi Street, Owo, admitted that she poured the faces on Olasehinde because she was going out with her husband.
Atandeyi informed the court that he had two witnesses to call to prove the case against the accused person and asked for an adjournment to enable him study the case file.
The Counsel to the accused person, Mr Christopher Titiloye, did not object to the adjournment sought by the prosecutor, but urged the court to admit his client to bail pending the final determination of the matter.
In her ruling, the magistrate granted bail to the accused person in the sum of N100,000 and two sureties in like sum, who must reside within the jurisdiction of the court.
The sureties, the court ruled must swear to affidavit of means and must be property owners in the jurisdiction of the court.

28yrs Old Nigerian Dies During Alcohol Drinking Contest
Nigerians who patronize drinking joints and beer parlours have been warned by the leadership of the Nigeria Police Force against engaging in life-threatening contests.
This warning followed the death of Azeez Muideen, a...
28-year-old commercial motorcyclist (Okada rider), last Wednesday after taking too much alcohol in a bid to win a drinking competition.
It was learnt that on the day of the incident, Azeez and some friends had a drinking contest. He took excess alcohol after which he suddenly slumped.
According to residents of Aso Rock Villa, Ebute Road, along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, where the incident occurred, Azeez alone consumed two bottles of brandy before the unfortunate incident. Immediately his friends realised that he had slumped, they dumped his corpse near a gutter and took to their heels.
His remains were later recovered and taken to the Ibafo Police Division. Policemen at the station took the body to a nearby hospital, where Azeez was confirmed dead.

So unless Chris' lawyers can pull off a MIRACLE, Breezy is expected to be in JAIL before the week is up.
It's sad that it had to end this way. But all those enablers around him have to share in the blame.

Background
I am from Abia State, but was born on Uzor Street in Ajegunle, Lagos. I’m the third born in the family of seven children: 5 boys and 2 girls. I was just two or three years old when we moved to Apapa, and then to Ebute-Metta and Isolo. I had already become an adult when we lived in Ebute-Metta. I had my secondary school education in Apapa and from there I got admission into UNIBEN.
Starting comedy
Professionally, I started comedy seven years ago. Before then, I have been doing comedy back days in secondary school due to the flair I had for it. When I left secondary school, I realized that comedy has been my lifestyle. Then, I discovered the talent and made it a serious business. I got motivated from a video done by Eddy Murphy. It was what I saw in this video that made me realize my talent, and the decision to delve into the world of comedy unfolded. Doing comedy is as a result of the passion I have for it as it is what I love doing. In the first place, I was not doing it because I wanted money but because I love doing it.
Source of inspiration
As many people would say their inspiration comes from God, I would say my own inspiration comes from my environment. The challenge is from God and wisdom to be able to harness the talent. I get inspiration for comedy from what happens in my environment
My style
I have a mild style of cracking jokes which is keeping me on top of the game. The style is about talking about what people do everyday and I just make it funny. I employ this style because it keeps me in the minds of the people. When I say something and it comes to pass, the next thing that comes to people’s mind is that Basket Mouth don talk am o! That way, I’m always fresh in the minds of the people.
Contact with Warri culture
When I was in UNIBEN, I had Warri indigenes as school mates. I had a close friend from Warri and many other Warri indigenes were always around me, and more or less I lived around them. This was how I knew much about Warri culture.
Qualities of a good comedian
First of all, you have to be original. The talent has to be inborn not just that you wake up one day and say you want to become a comedian without having flair for comedy. If you want to complement it, you have to be able to create your own ideas and materials, and be different from others.
Comedy back then
Comedians like Tee A, Julius Agwu, Alli Baba, and Okey Bakassi were already existing but we were small comedians in the industry then. It is only that the industry is now professionally inclined and more corporate.
Between young and old comedians
The market is open for everybody. Just like we had a lot of banks back then but at a time many faded away because they could not cope with the CBN regulations. When the time comes, we will know the original from counterfeits. The ugly development in the industry now is that people steal jokes. About 80 per cent of comedians are not original. But now, anybody can come and do whatever he has to do. It is a free world.
Challenges
My major challenge is being original and relevant in the industry. I neither want to be number one nor want to be the last in the game. My challenge thus is mainly to be able to manage my stardom. I want to be more original and gather more momentum in the game.
Between local and foreign comedians
We are very far behind. We have not even started here in Nigeria. Even though, we are far behind we are still the largest exporter of comedy. Nigerian population is higher in any comedy show, and not only in comedy but also music and movies.
On marital life
My marital life is good. Marriage is a different life entirely. It makes me more responsible as a man. I’m more in control of myself. I always bear in mind that anywhere I go, I have to go back home to my family. I can’t discuss my kind of woman. I already have one and I don’t have to describe her because I don’t want to be advertising who my wife is. As the Bible says, “he who finds a wife; finds a good thing”, my marriage is a blessing from God.
Role models
When it comes to role models, I look outside Nigeria. My focus right now has created new role models for me like Chris Rock, Glue, Martins Laurel, and Kelvin Harts. These are the guys that I don’t want to be like but like to share stage with. I envy them not in a bad way and I wish I accomplish a lot of things they had accomplished.

Michael Jackson Estate Judge Approves Move To Sell Michael's House
The Michael Jackson Estate just got the ok from a judge to sell the Hayvenhurst mansion which Michael and the rest of the family called home for decades, and buy another home for Katherine and MJs kids.
But here's the thing. We've learned the Estate doesn't want to sell Hayvenhurst -- at least for now, because it's being extensively renovated. But the Estate now has the green light to proceed whenever it chooses.

How I discovered my wife’s corpse in freezer – husband
Abuja – Chief Sa’adu Abdullahi, an Auchi-based legal practitioner, on Friday told an Abuja High Court how he and two of his in-laws discovered the corpse of his wife, Afshatu, in her deep freezer.
Mrs Abdullahi, a mother of three and a top NNPC staff, was murdered on Nov. 5, 2011 in her house located off Ladoke Akintola Boulevard, in Garki II.
The office of the Inspector-General of Police on Feb. 16, arraigned Chiwendu Hart-Amanya, 30, Kenneth Chigozie, 21, and Ejike Igbe, 18, before Justice Hussein Baba-Yusuf on a six-count charge including felony and murder of Mrs Afshatu Abdullahi.
The prosecution counsel, Sam Lough told the court that Hart-Amanya was the driver of the deceased, while Chigozie was the steward.
Igbe was arrested for being in possession of the deceased’s cars.
The prosecution said the offence contravened Sections 315, 316, 317 and 318 of the Penal Code.
It would be recalled that all the three accused persons pleaded not guilty to the charges.
At the resumed hearing on Friday, Abdullahi, husband of late Afshatu, told the court how the corpse of his wife was discovered in the kitchen freezer with deep cuts on her neck and other parts of her body.
Abdullahi told the court that during the last Eid-el Kabir holiday on Nov. 6, 2011, Afshatu had called to say that she would be in Auchi for the celebration with her family.
He said she had called to tell him that she would come to see the family, and that after waiting for three days without hearing from her, he decided to come to Abuja to check her.
“When I got to Abuja, I went straight to the NNPC where she works and was told that no one had seen her.’’
Abdullahi told the court that a search party that was organised, found only the security man, Ali Alpha in Afshatu’s house, while the first and second, who live in the boy’s quarters, were nowhere to be found.
He said that Alpha said he had not seen his madam for a few days and assumed that she had traveled.
“We broke into the house and found the place in disarray, with many expensive furniture missing and her jewelry gone; it was obvious the house had been burgled.
“While searching, my brother-in law, Tahiru Momoh, opened a deep freezer in the kitchen and we discovered my beloved wife’s body inside it.
“We called the Police and in the cause of their investigations, neighbours told them (Police) that they saw the driver driving my wife’s Infinity Toyota SUV some days earlier.
“The security man also told the Police that the driver (first accused) came back on the same day to take away the second 2011 brand of Toyota SUV.”
Abdullahi said that he was hospitalised for three days after the corpse of his wife was found in the freezer.
“I was shocked and shaken to my bone marrow,” he said.
During cross-examination by counsel to the three accused, Mr Paul Esewomo, Abdullahi debunked any rumours that he and his wife were separated.

Imo declares work-free day as mark of respect for Ojukwu
Owerri - Imo State will observe a work-free day on Monday as a mark of respect for the late Biafran leader, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu and there will also be a service of tributes for the late leader at the Hero’s Square, Owerri, on the same day.
The Speaker of the Imo House of Assembly, Mr Benjamin Uwajumogu, who is the Chairman of the Imo chapter of the organising committee for Ojukwu’s burial, disclosed this in Owerri on Tuesday at a news conference.
He listed some of the activities which will hold in Imo between Feb. 22 and Feb. 28 for the deceased before his final burial on March 2 in Nnewi, Anambra.
According to the programme, there will be an inauguration of the board of Dim Ikemba Ojukwu’s Centre by Gov. Rochas Okorocha on Feb. 22.
Okorocha will also inaugurate the Ikemba Ojukwu Centre on Feb. 24, where the remains of the late leader would be laid on its arrival in Imo on Feb. 27.
The committee also scheduled an inaugural lecture on the ‘Effective Leadership in the 21st Century’ by Prof. Boniface Nwoke, the Vice-Chancellor of the Imo State University on Feb. 25.
Imo youths are scheduled to observe all-night wake at the Dan Anyiam Stadium on Feb. 26 where all Imo youths are expected to pay their last respects to the late Biafran leader.

“she sued me for N100m,now the court has thrown out the case”.

“If you say I’m married to somebody in America, you have to prove that I have not dissolved the marriage. You have to show the court the document in your possession that proves you are telling the truth about the marriage. But she didn’t show the court anything. The court said it would allow everybody to go their own way. It said the marriage did not exist, since it did not produce any issue.
She claimed she was feeding me, yet she sued me for N100m where would she have expected me to get the money to pay her? This is a new year. I don’t want to talk about this girl. Life goes on. If you keep talking about somebody everyday and the person doesn’t say anything, won’t you get tired?”
He was asked if he was married as Stephanie claimed ,
he said if he was married to another woman ,she should have sued him for bigamy .
Chike was asked what he wishes for Stephanie ;
“I don’t want her to come out of this one again. I’m not an issue for her. I want her to get married. Even if she wants to remarry, does she have to tell the general public about it? Nobody is stopping her. Everything about life is about upbringing and orientation, but I wish her the best of luck. I’m not competing with her. She no longer exists in my life. I’m only advising her. I don’t want her to come out of this marriage again. I don’t have to tell the whole world that I’m engaged. I hope she doesn’t come out of this marriage again and start going to newspapers saying the man did this or that to her. I don’t want anybody to break her heart. It is not as if I cannot respond to everything she has been saying about me in the newspapers, it is just that she is not in my class”
He concluded that he is not jealous of the actress getting married to another man
” Honestly, from the bottom of my heart, I’m not jealous. Why should I be jealous of her? She is in the past. I’ve moved on with my own life. There is absolutely no reason for me to be jealous. Any time somebody asks her anything about me, she will start criticizing me. You can never hear me talk ill about her. If you ask me, I will tell you she doesn’t exist in my life. We’re not on the same level. I am begging her to go and marry. Some people phoned me to say she would wed in Paris, but I don’t care. She can go and marry in heaven”

We are told that Karrueche was no where to be found on Monday, but Chris was with a male friend when he left Rihanna’s dressing room.
And the pop stars will probably be spending even more time together, because both Chris and Rihanna will be performing at the Grammys — although not together.

Nigeria: It’s A Matter Of Upbringing.
“Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”- Proverbs 22:6. This passage in the Holy Book, the Bible, is arguably the most recommendable for children’s upbringing – both for Christian and non-Christian parents. It therefore places on the parents the ultimate right and responsibility for raising better children, therefore, making up a healthier society. This advice also ties most, if not all, of the culpability of a child’s undesirable character and choice of direction to its parent(s). While it’s highly commendable for parents to teach their children (wards) the times of life they live in, it’s equally pertinent that these parents train them in the way they should go. Those compelled under One-Nigerian society, more than having been infested with all manner of abominations, still have the opportunity for a better tomorrow; this opportunity is seen by the free gift of God in our children. This is why St. Paul rightly said, ““All things are lawful,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful,” but not all things build up.”- 1 Corinthians 10:23 (ESV) Parents need to teach their children properly and bring them up to meet up with the vast challenges of today’s world; however, the word of wisdom from God should take the center stage in every child’s upbringing. Leave these groups of “brought-up” children and go to the militants; you surely will not mistake the culpability of their parents’ silence cushioned by whoever they have resolved to lay the blame on. It should be noted, also, that the highly callous leaders we have in the society today were once children, and at the bottom of their wickedness lays the fault of wrong parenting. Man, in many ways, is like a field for crops - take “proper” care of it and you are sure to stand as the proud owner of “that filed; but, let it grow as it pleases, and you will not mistake the imprint of your neglects on it. Even if you move forward a bit to look at our children in different unlawful and disgraceful activities today, you will not mistake the role of the parents and how they have goaded them on in the wrong paths. And you can be sure today that those in Nigeria bombing and killing innocent people all over the country in the name of religion had some roots of their convictions traced down to their parents.

This therefore implies that, with all the responsibilities allocated to parents at their children’s birth, the country’s root has a greater role to play in the upbringing of its children (citizens). Therefore, rightly, a country may be referred to as “the mother of all her citizens;” that tells, in a long way, why a country may be referred to with a feminine gender; she plays the role of a mother to her children. But looking around today and having seen the failures of parenthood in many families in Nigeria, one should not also forget that the burden of parenthood was made heavier and near impossible by the society which the amalgamation of Nigeria compelled on all. In Nigeria, children are raised to follow their fancy- not their dreams. Many who wanted to be medical doctors ended up as petrochemical engineers, some who wanted to become musicians saw themselves as politicians, while some Nigerian musicians today still have holes in their hearts or have not met their innermost desires. Others started out as Imams and holy preachers but ended up with bombs and explosives around their waists. This is the story of failed parenting. The foundation of Nigeria was built under British insatiable desire for wealth, compulsion and extortion. This very spirit which drove them into Nigeria and necessitated their compulsion of ever-diverging nations under one name for their selfish end is the very spirit which has ruled Nigeria since independence. As a result, this very spirit of selfishness, depravity and darkness has now become the very spirit which runs and drives the lives of our children. ( Continues below..... )

Natalie Nunn interview: ‘Olu is a sweetheart… I wasn’t cheap…’
Let’s introduce Natalie Nunn to the several new Nigerian fans of yours. Who is Natalie Nunn?
Natalie Nunn is a reality television/model/actress who graduated from the University of Southern California with 2 majors and a minor.( Communication, sociology and minor in Spanish). In college I played soccer and ran track for the university. I also have owned and operated her own clothing store. I’m a bad girl who loves to enjoy myself have fun, well rounded person and love culture.
Let’s talk growing up – parents, siblings, childhood career and challenges growing up.
Growing up I was raised in a single mother household with one older brother. We were very involved in education and sports. My mother worked two jobs to afford to take care of us and made sure we always had a roof over our head and food on the table. My father came around more when I got older, he had some hard times when I was young which caused him to not always be around.
Hear you own a boutique in Northern California, outside that what do you do now?
Yes I did own and operate my own clothing store in Northern California where I was born and raised. The store was a trendy clothing store for the younger crowd. Now I’m living in Los Angeles and filming reality television shows/ music videos I was just in the music video “Bad Girls Club” by Wale and J.cole also the Young Berg video “so amazing” and starred in Bad girls club reality show and also the spin off show ‘Love Games’ where I was looking for love!
How did you join the ‘Bad girls club’?
I sent the producers of the Bad Girls Club a home casting tape. It was me just being me! They producers loved me and asked me to come for more in person interviews were later I was picked to be apart of the show.
You dated a Nigerian, Olamide of Sesame street for six years, That’s pretty interesting.
Yes my first boyfriend was Olamide Faison from the group – Imajin he was the lead singer, he also starred on the show sesame street and would sing to the kids. We dated for 7 years and he was the sweetest and very humble guy. Things after being on the bad girls club show made things a little difficult for us to continue to date, but we are still very close friends.
Did or have you ever got into things that are Nigerian – food, music, movie, fashion and sorts.
Yes while dating Olamide, I use to join the family in many cultural Nigerian customs. I joined the family in passing the Nut around in the circle and everyone taking a bite, hahaha. I forget what it was for but I did it. I also would join Olamide’s family who run’s the “NATIONAL BLACK THEATRE” in Harlem, New York for cultural African shows (African plays, and musical shows). I also joined Olamide’s family in a African funeral for the famous Dr. Barbara Ann Teer in New York City one of the most memorable days of my life.
What is ‘Nawti’?
Nawti — is Natural African women totally inspiring. I love this meaning… sends out a message that natural black women are inspiring and beautiful.
Who directed the video?
The video was shoot in different cities, my part was in Los Angeles by a very well known director
How were you contacted to be a part of the video? How did it happen?
My manager asked me if I would be interested in being apart of a music video by a Nigerian Artist and the song was called Nawti. The first thing I said was I want to hear the song and read the script and if I feel like its something I like I will do it. I loved the song, I loved the meaning and I love Nigerians so I said yes I’ll do it.
Did or do you find Olu Maintain attractive? You kissed him, I know it is all scripted and all. You think Olu Maintain is attractive?
Olu is a sweetheart. I really enjoyed working with him and the whole Nigerian crew! Yes the kiss was a part of the script but that doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy it ! hahaha
Let’s take the business side of you in the Nawti video, How much did Olu Maintain cough out to get a bombshell like you in his video? How much was it to have you star in the video? Give me an idea
Hahahhaah being ‘Americas favorite bad girl’ and currently doing music videos such as “Bad girls club” with Wale, J Cole and Rick Ross. I wasn’t cheap . Olu Maintain made sure I was well taken care of and had everything I could desire on set of the music video!
Would your new found Nigerian fanbase be seeing more of you; talking videos, making trips down for club appearances and sorts?
Hopefully I will be coming to Nigeria soon. We have some pending contracts with people in Nigeria for appearances. I would love to come down there and do appearances at clubs, meet the lovely (NAWTI) people of Nigeria!
To other followers, critics who think you are an attention seeker, how do you deal with them?
The people who think I’m just an attention seeker. I honestly let people think what they want. I’m living a dream, enjoying traveling all over the world, meeting people NAWTI people of all different race, religions, colors! I love everyone and would never feed into what a hater has to say I LIVE MY LIFE.
Let me in on your future plans, What are you working on?
I have a few new projects I have finished coming this spring on Oxygen channel. Also a fun project that will hit the internet on February 14th, Valentine’s day that I did with the television channel Mun2 super SEXY. I also am the new cover model for Show magazine coming out in March. I will be featured in J’adore magazine coming February 1st.

Cheating African Woman Gives Birth to Chinese Baby
A cheating married black woman in Damafalls, Ruwa remains the talk of the neighbourhood after she gave birth to an Asian baby. While some neighbours suspect that Anywhere Gezi, 20, who is married to a kombi driver Bright Kachanga, 24, might have stolen the baby, the woman insists she was impregnated by her Chinese former boss.
The baby, named Kupakwashe Kachanga was born at Ruwa Maternity Clinic on November 26, 2010 and is the couple’s ONLY child. Bright and Anywhere had tried for THREE years to have a child of their own and were unsuccessful and it took the Chinese ‘lover’ just one night to hit the jackpot.
Anywhere CONFESSED that she cheated with a Chinese man who was her boss at Grinaker Construction where she still works. The Chinese man at the centre of the storm was only identified as Lung Fanlihong and is believed to have fled to Zambia after he was confronted by Bright’s relatives baying for his blood.
When H-Metro visited the family yesterday, Anywhere’s neighbours were convinced that the family might have stolen the baby as Bright appeared not bothered.
“At first, I thought a Chinese national had settled in our neighbourhood and I was convinced this woman was a maid before I heard the true story,” said one of the neighbours.
“Ndakati muChina arikudei kuno ndaona akamubereka before she started breastfeeding the baby on way from the shops.
“What surprised us is that the husband accepts the baby as his and we thought that they might have stolen the baby. In other words, that’s the results of work place romance,” added the neighbour.
Anywhere CONFIRMED that she cheated with a Chinese man after a late night party with him where she consumed an unnamed intoxicating drink before they had sex.
“I lied to my husband before it was discovered by his sisters the day his (Bright) late father was laid to rest in Rusike Village, Goromonzi,” said Anywhere.
“The Chinese fled the country to Zambia after this came to light but we still have his relatives at our workplace in Ruwa. There was a party at work before he took me to a Casino where he gave me a sweet drink which I suspect was mixed with alcohol before we had sex all night long.
“I gave birth to a Chinese baby and she was born the day the Chinese father left the country to Zambia. I am glad that my husband accepted it after his relatives failed to welcome the baby. Bright is the one who signed for the kid’s birth record although he is not her real father.
“Bright is the only one looking after the baby and we are now living peacefully,” said Anywhere.
In another interview Bright told H-Metro that he is prepared to process Kupakwashe’s birth certificate and will not leave his wife because of her one-night stand that resulted in the child.
“We never stole the baby as people are suggesting but my wife was raped after she was given a beer drink at a company party owned by Chinese where she works,” said Bright. The baby was born at Ruwa Maternity Clinic and we have records to prove that we did not steal the baby.
“My relatives summoned me to appear before a family meeting and I challenged them that I would not leave my wife because only God has the power to find her guilty. It was whispered to my ears the day she was born and I told them that if the baby was not mine we would see when she grows up.
“Now she is a growing up and I can’t be cruel to dump her at this age. I bought the preparation and fed her while she was pregnant and can not leave her now as it will be unfair to the baby who is innocent.
“We never know this baby will look after me when her time comes. This baby came after I stayed with my wife for two and half years without one. I told my wife that if she decides to leave me after the family meeting, she will leave the baby with me because no one would refund all the expenses I incurred from the pregnancy till today,” said Bright.
Bright is now a truck driver after leaving his job as a bus driver.

Reports coming in that the National Executive Council of ASUU meeting in Abuja today has resolved to suspend the on-going strike action.
